Exams Fever and Saturday Nights Fever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it's here once again . No, I normally do not dread exam week because I am not the one who is sitting for it !!!


Tell ya, it's the simplest form of exams . They go home and learn what is going to come out and with that simple open book test, there are those who still make mistakes . So cute ............. just to look at them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially when you have some smarty pants in your class , and they go round helping their friends!!!!!

Whatever it is I know they try their best not to let ME down. Having said that, there are parents who are never satisfied , well I just can't please everybody.

It's not a big thing but they will be chaos when so and so had higher marks than her child and it's not fair.

Life is never fair . It squeezes the living daylights out of you :) It also depends on how you look at life ................

Anyway , tomorrow is another brand new day and we will just see how they do ...

Mistress Of Ceremony???? '............. Is there such a thing as this?

Okay I have been asked to be the MC for my sports day . So far as of yesterday , I have not had the feeling of chickening out if you are wondering .......... What I will do is , I will have a few practices in front of the mirror .

My stomach is good, not acting up...................yet . Still however , remains to be seen . Cool I am cool ... as a cucumber . Here are what some of the little snides that I have come across since Thursday ...................... ( please go fill in the blanks !!!! ) Yes , I marah .

a) Eh , you better announce properly ah or else .................
b) Your English must be good ah !
c) You don't panic us ah !
d) What la you ,this simple thing you can't do ah !

I am patient . okay you guys, you have said all you want to . Just wait till the end of the sports day and see what happens . No , I will not point fingers but I will blame everyone except Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many Colors , One Race

Many colors , one race . Short but meaningful . I read this in the papers today and I really felt nice reading the whole article . Like I was saying .......... to myself obviously , how nice .... that we are many colors and one race....


Just forget about everything and try to say out , say ... what you might like to call it .............a phrase .. yup , that's it . I mean seriously just try to say it out a few times and see or rather feel what happens .

In your heart , mean what you say and say what you mean ... okay to start the ball rolling , I will say it out loud ( in my heart ) it counts as well. Okay here goes , Many colors , one race .......................

d) We the grandchildren playing happily ............ in the rain.
e) Me , enjoying my time in Sekolah Rendah.
f) My sister and I playing with fire at the back of our backyard.
g)Our Cikgus were so committed then.
h)My good friend who is a chinese reading Jawi fluently .
i) We played with / in the mud with our friends
j)We played together with most of our friends and color did not matter at all.
k) Combing my grandma's long hair .
l) The best --- outdoor activities..............

The list goes on ............... I miss those times , simple times and here I am today , with my computer and I am a blogger .Life has caught up with us , and we have forgotten... forgotten every simple memory that has been etched in our hearts . Where have you gone ?

Winning...........

I have never won anything in my life , till now................. the swap . How do I feel about winning ? Nice for a change . Oh , there was a time when I received a parcel . Inside this neatly wrapped parcel ,was 7 little chicks ................... colorful ones .


The best part is ......... until today I don't even know who sent them to me . I called everyone up . Friends and cousins all said alike , "Nope , not me !

Actually winning isn't everything . The most important part of it all is the joy of participating in the event .


So , I will wait patiently till the postman delivers my gift and like a little girl , I just can't wait for it !!!!!!

I Don't Know WHy.....................

I don't know why ............ today of al days I am ever so glad that it's a holiday tomorrow . It's not that I will be going out or anything but.... it's just the rest that I really , really need .

Today was quite hectic in class . I was trying to get my students to hear what I was trying to tell them , but no ................ they were just too busy to do it . I guess they too need a break from me .. it;s okay though right ? I mean , you'll see when Monday arrives , it will be totally different .

In 2 weeks time , we will be having our mid year exams for the children . That will take a toll on me . It's recap and more recapping . To top it all , I may also have to deal with anxious parents as well . All of the whys , hows and what not ............... you name it .

Well , I don't know why ................ why silly ,that's because I am a teacher !!!!!!!!!! Oh dear .............. ouch !!!!!!!!!! to that too !!!!

Have you notice hot hot it has gotten lately ? My poor , poor students , with fever so high , some are admitted into the hospitals ............ I sent two home today . High fever ... what else ..

I had a nose bleeder today and the poor girl , what a mess on her uniform and in the toilet ..... I got her cleaned up and she went home early ....... I mean it's so hot that the little ones suffer .

I had eight students in class for the past two days . It was a boring day today . I mean , at times I wished I had only eight students to teach but................ I kinda miss them .

I do hope they get better . Even their friends are wondering why , Well it's no lie for the next person to be on MC will be ME , I hope this will not be true .

Let's see tomorrow..................................

The Promise

True to my word , I promised myself not only will I get a handbag for myself but I will also make a promise to myself that , each time when I receive my salary , I will buy a book to read ....................for ME .

I know it may seem not much but I promise to fill up my entire bookshelf with books . I don't care , If the author is famous or not, I will go and get a book every month . I owe this to myself , I work hard like everyone else , I don't ask much ,I don't hang out with friends and since I have not been dating ................. ( like as if I ever had !!!!!). Since I am still single ............. this is the next best thing that I will do . Books , books , books and more books .

With pride in my heart , I will walk to Popular book store and get a book to read !!! Sounds silly ?
