" Money is the route of all evil". Too true right ? When I first joined my school , as part of the contract agreement , it states that I have to do administration work . Which is okay for me but I was not prepared for what was to come, that is , it is also my duty as a teacher to register children and collect school fees plus registration fees . Now, it is not something that I would like to hear but then again If I did all these thing , it would only mean one thing and it's called learning something new . This sounds easy right ?
The first thing I did was to study briefly the fee structure and sum up whatever that I could . Then I would calculate the cost and also learn how to charge half quarterly fees . I was quite uneasy whenever a parent would come by the school to register and seeing this , my principal decided to let me handle all the stocks of the uniforms . So my job is to write down and get parents to sign the stock book once the uniform is taken.
My life was fine for awhile , until she had a meeting and told us that we each had to take turns to collect fees / registration fees . Yikes ! I calmed myself down and told myself not to panic . Yesterday was my turn to collect the fees .The first parent arrived . I took the file and I began my work . With my hands trembling , I took the bull by it's horn and I must say I was pretty proud of myself . With payment in hand , ( I counted the money three times !!!!) I issued the receipt and handed the uniforms to the parent.
Everything went on just fine until......................... it was time to hand over the cash . I handed everything to my friend but it was short ( can't tell you how much ) . We counted it again and again . Finally my friend , asked me if I put the money elsewhere . True to what she asked me, I found the money in my pocket . Yahoo !!!! I remember now , I put the money into my pocket not to take it home silly !!! I put in into my pocket because I had to fill in some details and I told my self that I must not forget to put the money in the envelope . Anyway with that being settled , I went home for lunch and to get my forty winks !!!! That's life everybody .
